Dinah's Family Restaurant has * the * Best Chicken in Culver City. Bar none. You can get dark meat or white meat with dark meat a little less expensive. They have delicious sides like some vegetables. They have delicious pies for dessert. I know that liver is an acquired taste (not everyone likes French pate? acquired like caviar is just really salty fish eggs?) but I love the liver here. I love lots about their food and service and ambiance. You might love their french toast. There are some nice tables inside of the restaurant and there are some tables at the similarly nice outdoor patio. It's just really nice and homey here and while Kentucky Fried Chicken is also good like Popeye's if you want to try something new and different then Dinah's chicken is a wonderful best bet. If you need a caterer for chicken, come here. Thank you, Dinah's.

The ONLY thing I'd request, is a more comprehensive happy hour menu. HUGE sign outside, but, it's basically $2 off draft beer. Not bad, not worth a giant sign. I was seated rapidly, interacted with multiple staff, all super friendly, helpful, and professional. I can't speak highly enough about the staff, especially my server, Sandra. Sandra is the kind of person that, back when I was management / leadership, would have made an effort, much more than normal, to offer a job to, and make sure they were happy with it. Dinah's, make sure you treat Sandra well! People like this are rare! The food was good! Especially the corn! But... Not particularly remarkable. If you've had Dinah's in the last 3 decades, it's just as good as you remember. And that warm, buttery, savory smell permeates this new space just fine, you'll feel at home. TLDR: I'll be back. The food was good, but it really was the incredible service from the staff, especially Sandra.

I ordered a ham melt which wasn't on the menu so I 1000 percent appreciated the accomodation. I also ordered sweet potato fries and a hot chocolate. Everything was fine. It tasted good enough and the service was friendly. I have had better sweet potato fries for the price, but overall enjoyed the ease of the diner.

My family and I used to come here EVERY Sunday for breakfast before church and they always have the best German Pancake and Gourmet Apple Pancakes. In the picture below we had the apple pancake that is the best ever and I'm not necessarily a baked apple flavor kinda gal. Wow it tastes EXACTLY the same as it did 30 years ago. Even the Denver Omelette tasted the same and that was also my go to order as a kid. The food was just so good, even down to the kids cheeseburger and fries that my son ordered. Can't wait to come back and reminisce back to my childhood.
